I've been given an award

Two lovely friends from Charmed Cards and Craft forum have given me a lovely award. Thank you Tee and SarahC for this award. Now I have to choose 5 other lovely people to give this award to. These are just a random pick of my favorite blogs Emma Shellie Crissi Jo KarenL Here's what you have to do: 1) Write a post with links to 5 blogs you find of interest and that inspire you. 2) Acknowledge the post of the award giver. 3) Display the logo 'You make my day'. 4) Tell the award winners that they have won by commenting on their blogs with the news.

My birthday goodies

I am truly blessed to know some wonderful people in cyber space. Here's a picture of some of my gorgeous goodies that I've been sent. Aren't I a VERY lucky ducky. Kisses to you all, you have all touched my heart, so I'm sending you all big thanks. Oh by the way, there's no choccy in the photo, it kind of disappeared LOL. Sorry if your present isn't in the photo, it's not intentional.

I'm back

on line wooooohoooooo!. I really thought I was going to loose my mind altogether. We haven't had a phone line since the early hours of Sunday morning, they joys of living in the countryside. No broadband and very dodgy phone lines LOL. Oh well, can't cry now, 'cause I'm back and I even managed to do a challenge.
The challenge is set by Stamping Fairies , Sunday Sketch fun #13, this is my take on it. I used my Cricut to cut the ovals, used my watercolour pencils to colour in the Penny Black stamp.
Thanks for looking :)

Charmed card challenge

Here is my attempt at a card challenge on Charmed Cards and Craft forum. It was set by Karen (the owner), who has now over 12,000 products listed in her on-line shop *faint*, I'd love to go and play at hers LOL. This is the sketch to follow, mine is a bit different but it takes all sorts LOL. I might even have a go at the last two sketches which I didn't do! Thanks for looking :)

Wasted afternoon

I've spent all morning, cleaning and shopping so I could play all afternoon in my craft room. And all I managed to do (after lots of choice words LOL), is my Mother's Day card which I'm not over the moon with, but tough I have to send it tomorrow morning.

I'm going to look at some challenge blogs and hopefully that will get my creative juices flowing again. I should be back later. I've just found a challenge on CMUtd which is We're very quickly getting through this New Year and our next challenge is........... Mothering Sunday or Mother's Day!Your card can be in any shape or format you chose as long as it has the word Mother/ing (or Mum, Mam, Mummy)in the Sentiment, so aren't I lucky that's one challenge down off to have another look! Thanks for looking :)

Arty Girlz Challenge #21

A new challenge has been set by the Arty Girls - This week's challenge is 'STAMPING' so we would like to see any kind of stamping on your projects this week...using any stamps that are in your collection :) I made a quick card for this challenge, and I think it turned out ok. I used all Stampin Up! goodies from Fiona , which reminds me to place an order as SU! have a promotion this month - check Fiona's blog for more info.

The stamps are from both Simply Said and Circle of Friendship. And for some reason the stamped image doesn't show that well again. Oh well to see the stamps at their very best, you might as well buy them LOL.

Thanks for looking :)

My latest baby

Here is Valentino, he was born yesterday evening. Both mammy and baby are fine. He's already up to no good, boys eh! LOL. He looks a bit messy, but he's doing great and he's not even a day old yet.
Valentino is the first boy this year ..... wonder what the rest of year will bring!

Another challenge

I nearly forgot this challenge, it's on CMUtd blog. The challenge is
Using a MAXIMUM of three colours, we are challenging you to make a card using any theme or technique, and post it on your blog. Shades of a colour count as ONE colour.
Here is my attempt, and I just used one colour (two different shades aren't I good!)

Thanks for looking :)

My Valentines card to my husband

It was a rush job again making this. I can't believe I always leave it till the last moment, it isn't as though it's on a different day each year, LOL.
I'll be back later, just off to do some foddering. And fingers crossed I'll have a couple of cards made (if I get the smell off me - yuck!).

I've made a card

at long last. It's a card for my brother in law, fingers crossed it will arrive in time for his birthday, so I'd better get off here and go to the post office. It's a very quick card and I'm soooooo grateful to Jo , on her blog she has some free papers to download, I've used one on my card.

Oh, I forgot to say, my darling husband arrived home a couple of hours ago with two big bunches of yellow roses, awwwww isn't he sweet. I'd better make him a card now for tomorrow LOL. Hey ho! no rest for the wicked.

Here is just one of them.

I'm neglecting ...

my blog already, that didn't take long LOL. Considering I don't work (except around the farm), I don't seem to have much time to craft and I must get myself organised - which was one thing I promised myself that I would be this year!!!. I have a hand full of cards to make and quite a few ATCs that I'm getting behind on. Oh well tomorrow is another day. At least I've blogged today, and hopefully tomorrow I might have something to show.

I'm still blogging

Another day, another posting. I've been busy crafting, I know shock horror LOL. I've made a card for someone to say sorry for forgetting their birthday opppps!, as I keep telling myself to get more organised, but again someone else slipped through the net!
I've posted a picture of the card, but for some reason it doesn't show up right, and it's too late to take another photo 'cause the card is already in the envelope ready for posting in the morning.
I used my new SU! goodies, thanks Fiona (check out her blog for great SU! goodies). The stamp set I used, is the Simply Said set, the card is also SU! and so is the gorgeous ribbon. Can't wait to place my next order :)
Also, I've managed to make some ATCs for a swap that I take part in on SplitCoastStampers (SCS) it's a great forum for learning different techniques and looking at all the new SU! goodies. Anyways here's a couple of ATCs that I've made. If you're having a look at SCS keep an eye out for the Global Girls!

It's sunny

still a bit chilly, but that's ok. I'm just thankful that the rain has stopped for now. I've been looking at the Arty Girlz challenge blog, and this is the current challenge - This week's challenge is 'Frames' so you could use cardstock to make a frame, do a stitched frame, a buttoned frame, alter a frame, doodle a frame.... there's so much you can do for this challenge and we can't wait to see what you come up with. As usual you choose the format so you could make a card, atc, scrapbook layout whatever you decide it is up to you. I thought wooohooo, I've already made a card with frames on, so here's my attempt Well that's all for now, off to look for some more challenges (or to do some h****work!)

We had snow last Friday YAY!

Yep, it's official we had snow last friday (1st February), and me and Bear loved every minute of it. Snow makes everything look clean and fresh and it also hides a multitude of sins especially thick dirty mud! YUCK!
The first photo was taken when the snow was still falling

The second photo was taken in the early evening when the sun came out. Both pictures are taken at the back of the house.

This is my little heaven :)

Sunday 3 February 2008
